Blogging Crisis: Why Am I Doing This?
Because of the 30 Days of Music Challenge, I’ve been blogging every day. It has made me wonder why I have a blog.
Very few people come to this website. It’s not like I have a large audience of people just waiting for me to say something. Who really cares about me and what I put here anyway?
I’m not a very outgoing person. I don’t have much to say to the world, except for some strong opinions on a few topics. I’ve hesitated really going off on rants about my opinions though, because I believe it just looks bad, and it could offend some people.
I’m not making any money from the site, although that is possible if traffic ever picked up. I try to sprinkle my posts with links to music and other products that might be of interest.
So why do I do this? I can think of a few reasons:
- Blogging will improve my writing skills.
- When I do finally meet “The One,” she’ll have a way to get to know me better.
- It helps me to know myself better.
- I’ve had the domain name BobMoran.com for years; I have to do something with it.
- I have this need to explain myself.
Now that I’ve thought about it, I may post more about these reasons later. I still wonder why though. lol
I’m still trying to decide if these reasons are valid and worth keeping a public blog. I guess I’ll just ponder this for a while. In the meantime, if you have an opinion about this, or you have a blog and want to share your reasons for writing it, please post a comment.
