Today’s song for the 30 Days of Music Challenge almost had me stumped. I didn’t know which song I would choose until I sat down to write today’s blog. Then, I was saved by the muses.

In yesterday’s post, I stated that, nowadays, I only listen to the radio when I’m driving. So instead of trying to come up with a random song to hear on the radio, I thought, “What song do I want to hear on the radio while driving?”

I usually don’t say to myself, “I wish they would play this song.” That is unless it is raining, and I have the windshield wipers on. Then the words of today’s song come into my mind – “those windshield wipers slappin’ out a tempo…” Then, I think, “I wish they would play that song.”

So, the song for today is “Driving My Life Away” by Eddie Rabbit.

Today’s title also reminds me of the song “On the Radio” by Donna Summer.
