Today’s challenge is to name a song that I wish I could play (on an instrument). For me, there is an easy answer, but it really doesn’t satisfy the requirement of the challenge. The answer is “All of them!”

I always wanted to be a musician. But there seems to be something inside of me that just can’t get beyond the basics. This is a problem for me in everything. I seem to get so far then can’t go further.

I understand that this is in some ways a learned habit, but there are physical and mental issues at work here also. I believe that the same things that cause me to misunderstand speech and limit my ability to hear individual sounds in loud areas play a part.

However, I do take responsibility for my lack of persistence in learning to play an instrument. I hope that once I do begin making money, I can devote the time it would take to really learn music.

To fulfill today’s challenge, though, I do have to name a song, so I’ll go with something fun. “Bandstand Boogie” is an interesting song and I believe would be a challenge for me on the piano.
