Day 29 – A Song From My Childhood
July 21, 2010 in
30 Days of Music Challenge |
A quick post just to continue the challenge, which officially ends tomorrow. I’ve kept up with it, and posted every day!
Today’s song is “I Points to Myself,” which my mother taught me and my brother and sister when we were little kids. My mom learned it in the Girl Scouts. It was sung with a German accent, which today would probably be considered not very politically correct. I couldn’t find a good version of it on the Internet, but I’ll keep looking.
Honorable mention goes to “Strangers in the Night” as sung by Frank Sinatra. This is the first song I remember hearing on the radio, and I know that it was a favorite of my father.
